In April this year, Croatia recorded a significant increase in tourist arrivals and overnight stays in commercial accommodation facilities compared to the same month last year. A total of 1.2 million arrivals and 3.3 million overnight stays were registered, representing a growth of 14.8% in arrivals and 18.4% in overnight stays. Domestic tourists showed a slight increase, while foreign tourists recorded a much higher growth, with the largest number of overnight stays from tourists from Germany, Slovenia, and Austria. The most popular destination was the Istria County, accounting for 30.3% of total overnight stays. These data indicate a recovery and growth of the tourism industry in Croatia.
