“Aps” fruit brandy made by inmates from apples, plums.

At the International Agro Belgrade Fair 2025, “Aps” fruit brandies made from apples, plums, quinces, and apricots from the economy of the District Prison in Smederevo were presented. Inmates are engaged in auxiliary tasks in the brandy production process, including fruit picking and making wooden packaging. The prison’s economy has a cold storage facility with a capacity of 100 tons, equipped according to HASSAP standards, as well as two vegetable chambers. The quality of the brandy is checked at the Enological Station in V.
