Innovation Revolution in Northern Kosovo!
Imagine a place where ideas turn into business, where young people don’t wait for opportunities but create them themselves. Welcome to Zubin Potok, where the Regional Innovation Startup Center (RISC) is shaking things up! In just two years, this center has gathered 36 users, employed 20 experts, and organized over 50 events. Yes, you read that right – 50 events that sparked a wave of innovation in one of the most challenging regions.
Deputy Minister Ana Marinković expressed her enthusiasm: “RISC Zubin Potok is an example of how vision and dedication can change a community.” And this is no empty talk – the center was founded in 2019 and has already become a driver of innovation in northern Kosovo and Metohija.
Young startup teams from the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija had the chance to showcase their innovative projects at the final Demo Day of the “Launcher 2.0” program. The event gathered institutions, mentors, and an expert commission that selected two teams to advance to the next phase. This is not just a story about technology but about creating jobs and economic development in a region long neglected.
RISC Zubin Potok and the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Technological Development share a vision of creating an ecosystem where young people can develop their ideas and contribute to social progress. If you think innovation is only for big cities, think again – Zubin Potok proves otherwise.
