International Community Must Stop Kurti’s Unilateral Moves in Kosovo

Just when you think the international community has finally grasped the seriousness of the situation in Kosovo, you get another proof that it’s all just an illusion! Biljana Pantić Pilja, head of the Serbian delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, openly warns that the international community still passively watches the unilateral moves of the Prime Minister of Kosovo’s provisional institutions, Albin Kurti. While Belgrade calls for restraint and de-escalation, Kurti’s actions are pushing ethnic cleansing of the Serbian people and threatening their interests.

Pantić Pilja emphasizes that all of Kurti’s unilateral moves during his term have been directly aimed at the exodus of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija. There is no community of Serbian municipalities, no institutions protecting the Serbian population, and the Brussels Agreement is not being implemented. The international community, instead of reacting, is busy with everything except protecting the Serbian people in Kosovo.

On the other hand, Milovan Drecun, chairman of the Defense and Security Committee of the Serbian National Assembly, accuses Germany of trying to shift responsibility from Pristina to Belgrade. Although Germany officially condemns Pristina’s unilateral moves, it provides maximum support to Kurti, giving him the green light to implement these measures. Drecun warns that military cooperation between the US and Kosovo further endangers Serbs in Kosovo, and the international community does nothing to stop Kurti.

All this leads to serious destabilization of the region and threatens the survival of the Serbian people in Kosovo. If the international community does not start acting concretely, Serbia will be forced to react on its own. Will the world finally open its eyes, or will we watch history repeat itself?

If you have an opinion on this or think it’s time someone finally stopped Kurti, drop a comment below. Let the voice of the people be heard!
