Imagine this – young Montenegrin para-swimmer Iskra Dedivanović is gearing up to smash it at the European Youth Para Games in Istanbul! Yes, you read that right, she’s not just any swimmer, but a fierce warrior in the S9 category, competing in four disciplines: freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly. All this against the toughest para-swimmers from 33 countries across Europe!
The games run from July 24 to 28, and Iskra has already shown she’s ready to push limits. Her coach, Danijela Bulatović, reveals that Iskra trained like there’s no tomorrow, every single day, with a clear goal – to proudly represent Montenegro, her club, and her city.
But it’s not just about medals. These games are a chance for Iskra to gain new experiences, mature as an athlete, and show the world how much hard work and effort go into every swim.
Did you know the races are spread over four days? July 25 freestyle, July 26 breaststroke, July 27 backstroke and butterfly, all under the slogan “Beyond Limits, Together We Rise” – perfectly capturing the spirit of these young heroes.
This isn’t just sport, it’s a battle, inspiration, and proof that limits exist only in our minds. Iskra and her coach are living proof that with willpower and persistence, you can reach the stars.
Who says para-athletes aren’t heroes? Iskra is here to prove otherwise! Got something to say about these young champions, or maybe a swimming joke? Drop a comment – we’re here to laugh, learn, and cheer together!
