Israel leaves UNHRC, citing bias and antisemitism concerns.

Israel is withdrawing from the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) due to accusations of demonization and anti-Semitism against the country. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar stated that the UNHRC protects human rights violators while attacking Israel, which he called a democratic country. Sa’ar emphasized that more than 100 condemning resolutions have been passed against Israel, more than against Iran, Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela. U.S. President Donald Trump announced the withdrawal of the United States from the UNHRC and the suspension of funding.
