When you think of showbiz, you probably imagine glitz, parties, and city hustle. But Ivan Milinković, former member of the band Legende, decided to leave all that behind and find peace on Mount Kosmaj. Yes, you read that right — the singer swapped his microphone for a hoe and now grows fruits and vegetables in his orchard of 60 trees brought from Mačva, where his father is from.
Imagine this: instead of city noise, Ivan enjoys the silence of nature, socializes with neighbors who are also artists, including famous names like Žarko Dančuo, Nele Karajlić, and Rale Zelenović. Even the legendary Bata Živojinović was a frequent guest in his yard.
His weekend house on Kosmaj is no ordinary home. Ivan designed the interior himself, built shelves and cabinets, with carved leaves on the shelves that light up with lamps at night. A true artistic paradise!
But it wasn’t easy. Almost three decades ago, Ivan left the band Legende to start a solo career. He wanted change, to see where his audience trusted him more, and not to put himself to sleep. And he succeeded!
Though there were rumors about his love scandals, he now says he has found his peace, and Kosmaj has become his refuge from everything.
