Exhibition of Spanish Female Designers: Redesigning the World or Just Another Fancy Story?

Redesigning the World: Spanish Female Designers Take Over Belgrade!

Get ready, Belgraders! Starting July 10th, the gallery of the Instituto Cervantes will host an exhibition that will make you rethink everything you know about design. “Designers: Re-designing the World” brings together works from 12 contemporary Spanish female designers who don’t just make pretty things—they think about how design can change the world to be more sustainable and inclusive.

Curator Gloria Ruis explains that the prefix “re” in the exhibition’s title is no accident. It’s a call to rethink the world we live in. Sounds like a big mission, right? But let’s be real—how many times have you heard that design can save the planet? This exhibition tries to prove it’s not just empty talk.

The works come from different parts of Spain, meaning you’ll see a variety of approaches and ideas. From ecological innovations to inclusive solutions, these designers don’t shy away from challenges. And all this is happening right in the heart of Belgrade, until September 10th.

If you thought design was just about fashion runways or interiors, think again. This exhibition is here to shake you up and maybe make you start thinking about how small changes can make a big difference.

So, who’s ready to redesign the world? Or at least have some fun watching others try? Drop a comment, tell us what you think—is this just another artsy fad or a real revolution?

The exhibition runs from July 10th to September 10th at the Instituto Cervantes gallery in Belgrade. Don’t miss it!
