Judge Ksenija Marić Denies Detention to Protest Attackers – Is Justice Asleep While Police Suffer?

Here’s what happens when a judge decides that violence against police isn’t serious enough for detention! Judge Ksenija Marić of the Higher Court in Belgrade, known for her opposition views, refused to detain two thugs, Zoran L. (48) and Milan R., who brutally attacked police officers during the Vidovdan protests in Belgrade. Zoran L. kicked, punched, and threw bottles and firecrackers at the police cordon on Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra, while Milan R. hurled sharp objects at the police. The prosecution requested detention to prevent repeat offenses, especially since the blockers publicly announced plans to escalate violence on July 12. But Judge Marić decided otherwise, ignoring evidence and warnings.

This decision has sparked outrage and doubts about the impartiality of the judiciary. Sources close to Kurir claim the judge not only supports the blockers but fuels violence with her rulings. The thugs are back on the streets, and the state looks powerless. Has justice become a toy in the hands of judges with political agendas?

Remember, Judge Marić is known as an opposition judge, former partner of the spokesperson for the War Crimes Prosecutor’s Office, and now prosecutes Serbs for alleged crimes in the village of Kravice near Srebrenica. Her bias is obvious, and her decisions cast doubt on the legal system.

While police officers suffer beatings and risk their lives, justice seems to be asleep. Will anyone finally stop the violence and irresponsible judicial decisions? Or will we watch the state crumble under the pressure of thugs and judicial injustice?

If you’ve got something to say about this shameful decision, feel free to drop a comment – maybe your words will wake justice up from its slumber!
