Office for Kosovo and Metohija in Zvečan: Congratulations, Support, and Promises After the Fire
Is this just another empty gesture or real help? Representatives of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija visited Zvečan on the occasion of the Municipality Day and brought – what else – congratulations and support from the Serbian state. But it’s not all just nice words.
Special attention was given to those affected by recent fires, specifically the auxiliary building of Jelena Jokić. The office promised assistance in repairs, of course, within their means.
Together with representatives of the Serbian List and local authorities, they attended a reception marking 35 years of the cultural-artistic society “Zvečan.” It all sounds like a typical political show, but with a clear goal – to show that the state has not forgotten its people in Kosovo and Metohija.
What’s behind the congratulations?
Is this just a PR move or genuine concern? The fires left a mark, promises of help are there, but how much will it really help the people?
Zvečan still in the spotlight
Joint appearances with the Serbian List and local authorities show that Zvečan remains important to the state. But is that enough to solve real problems?
