As Zagreb prepares for the mega concert of Marko Perković Thompson, doctors in Croatia’s capital are throwing in the towel! Why? Because no one knows how much they’ll be paid, and the risks to emergency medical services are huge! Only five or six doctors, mostly residents, have signed up to work at the makeshift hospital, while nurses—apparently hungry for extra cash—are showing up in greater numbers. The mayor is unhappy the concert wasn’t split over multiple days, and the Ministry of Health is trying to calm nerves, claiming there will be no issues. But is that really true? Doctors warn of massive risks and say there’s no amount of money worth working this event! Is public health being sacrificed for a spectacle? Sound off in the comments and tell us what you think about this mess!
