Kozara: A Symbol of Freedom and Huge Sacrifice We Must Never Forget!

Kozara is not just a mountain; it’s a living wound and a pride of the Serbian people! Željka Cvijanović, the Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, refuses to let us forget what happened on Kozara during World War II. “Kozara is a symbol of our freedom and the huge sacrifice made by its people,” she declared. Yes, you read that right — the heart of one of the largest free territories in occupied Europe was right there on Kozara. But that freedom didn’t come cheap. It came at a huge cost! The population paid a bloody price for their defiance and spirit of freedom. And this is not just history; it’s the foundation of Republika Srpska!

While some try to downplay these events today, Cvijanović makes it clear that the heroic memory of Kozara must be preserved and passed down through generations. Because without that memory, there is no freedom.

Just imagine — June 29th, the day we remember this great tragedy and heroism, the day we honor those who gave everything for freedom. Will we allow it to be forgotten? Absolutely not!

And now, as political games are played and history is retold in many ways, remember who paid the price. Remember Kozara! And if you’ve got something to say about it, drop a comment — maybe your word will be the voice that refuses to let it fade away!
