Doctors in Kragujevac Pushed to the Limit: 180 Emergency Calls in 24 Hours!

Kragujevac witnessed a real medical drama yesterday! Emergency doctors had no time to rest – in just 24 hours, they received a staggering 180 emergency calls. Yes, you read that right, 180! Emergency teams carried out 39 field interventions, 23 during the day and 16 at night. Clinics examined 60 adult patients, with 49 of those visits happening at night, and 14 pediatric patients. The most common reasons for calls during the day were fainting, blood pressure fluctuations, and stress reactions, while at night, patients mostly sought help for high or low blood pressure and breathing problems, especially asthmatics. Doctors urge citizens not to ignore symptoms and to seek help immediately, especially during hot days when strenuous activities and sun exposure should be avoided. This chaos in Kragujevac’s healthcare system shows how overwhelmed the emergency medical service is and how important it is for everyone to understand the seriousness of the situation. If you think this is just another ordinary day, think again – our heroes in white coats are literally fighting for every life, while we often neglect our health. So, what about you? Have you had any experience with emergency services during these scorching summer days? Share your stories, maybe your experience can help others realize the importance of timely action!
