Kragujevac’s energy sector is on the brink of a financial turnaround rarely seen before! After intense negotiations between the public company Srbijagas and the Government of the Republic of Serbia, a bombshell announcement dropped – all existing debts of Kragujevac Energy towards Srbijagas will be completely wiped out by the end of September! Yes, you read that right – debts that have been weighing down this vital heating system in the city will be reduced to zero.
This decision is not just a number on paper but a massive step towards financial consolidation and stability. Srbijagas’ general director, Dušan Bajatović, emphasizes that debt relief will enable the energy company to focus on development investments and modernization of capacities. This means more reliable and efficient heating for over 20,000 households and numerous public and industrial facilities in Kragujevac.
