Imagine this: Larisa Bertović, a 20-year-old dancer from Zaprešić, has just been crowned the new Miss Sport Croatia! But this isn’t just another pretty face with a smile — Larisa is a true sports warrior. She has been involved in majorette dance for 11 years and has been a coach for the last four. Yes, you read that right, a coach! And she hasn’t stopped at majorette dance; she has tried various other dance and sports activities.
She says sport has taught her discipline, responsibility, and teamwork. She is especially proud of her coaching work because, as she says, nothing fills her more than helping others grow and improve.
The Miss Sport Croatia contest isn’t just about makeup and showbiz. For four days, the athletes practiced their talents, and each had to create a choreography and choose music to represent the sport they practice — all within a 45-second time limit!
The event was supported by the Public Open University of Zaprešić, showing how much the local community is involved in promoting sport and young talents.
Larisa proves that sport isn’t just about athletic fields and gyms but also about dance floors where discipline and team spirit blend into perfect harmony. If you think sport is only for those with a ball in their hands, think again!
So, dear readers, what do you think? Is majorette dance a real sport discipline? Or is this just another way to turn sport into a fashion spectacle? Drop a comment, let your voice be heard! Maybe your idea will be the next hit on the dance floor or sports field!
