Lavrov on Protests in Serbia: Dialogue or Chaos by the Law?

Ready for another political rollercoaster? Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s top diplomat, isn’t joking when he says the protests in Serbia must be resolved “in accordance with the Constitution and laws.” Yes, you read that right — the law is now the main player as Belgrade and Novi Sad shake with blockades and eggs flying at SNS offices. Police acted fast, several people were arrested, and traffic is, they say, “normal.” But wait, Lavrov doesn’t stop there! He hopes the West will stop sending its “colored revolutions” to Serbia, because, of course, it’s all part of some big power game.

Protests or Political Soap Opera?

Scenes in Belgrade and Novi Sad look like a bad movie — containers on streets, blockades, eggs on windows. Police had to step in early morning, and the Ministry of Interior announced all blockades were removed. But is this the end? Not really. Students from Turkey say the protests in Serbia are “very similar” to theirs. Coincidence or global trend?

Lavrov and Vučić – Dialogue Allies?

Lavrov praised Serbian leadership for their willingness to dialogue with demonstrators. “Dialogue is the only way to resolve any issues,” he says. But is it real dialogue or just a phrase to calm things down? Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić also stressed the situation must be resolved by law.

The West and Its “Colored Revolutions”

Lavrov made it clear Russia is watching the situation and hopes the West won’t try to exploit the protests for its own interests. “They try to promote their interests at the expense of others,” he said. Is this paranoia or a real threat?

What’s Next?

As Serbia struggles with internal unrest, the world watches. Will the protests be resolved peacefully, through dialogue and law, or will they escalate into something much bigger? One thing is certain — the situation is tense, and Serbia’s political scene has never been more dynamic.

If you thought protests were a boring topic, think again! Drop a comment if you think dialogue will win or if you believe this is just the start of chaos. Who knows, maybe your conspiracy theory will be the next headline!
