Serbia has adopted the Law on the Alimony Fund, which provides for the payment of alimony to single parents whose former spouses do not fulfill their obligations. The state takes over the collection of alimony from irresponsible parents, and the fund will be budgetary and managed by the Ministry of Family Protection. The law covers the rights of children up to 26 years old who are in education, as well as mechanisms for effective alimony collection.
