Lazar Jovanović Signs for Stuttgart: Serbian Talent Takes Germany by Storm

Lazar Jovanović, just 18 years old, is already on the brink of a huge football career! The young Serbian national team player has officially become a player of German club Stuttgart, the current winner of the German Cup. Yes, you read that right – Stuttgart, the club that lifted the trophy this year, decided to invest in this young star and assigned him the number 45 jersey. This is already the third club in Lazar’s career, but interestingly, also the third red-and-white – from Vojvodina, through Red Star Belgrade, to now Stuttgart. After a five-month stint at OFK Beograd, where he confirmed his quality, Lazar is ready for new challenges in the Bundesliga, one of the top five leagues in the world.

Stuttgart didn’t hold back on the presentation – on the club’s official pages, they published a series of graphics, texts, and video materials about this young talent. Club director Fabian Wohlgemuth revealed they had been following Lazar’s performances for a long time, especially in the youth Champions League, which was decisive for his signing. Lazar is thrilled with the jersey and club colors and says with a smile that he can’t wait to play on the field.

Family support is strong – his father Milan Jovanović, a former Serbian international, is accompanying him in Germany and helping him settle into the new environment. Lazar admits he doesn’t have a full driver’s license yet, so dad drives him to training and gives him valuable advice from his professional career.

The transfer has already brought financial benefits to Red Star – the club earned 5 million euros, with the possibility of an additional million euros in bonuses if Lazar meets all the clauses. For context, last summer Red Star brought Lazar from Vojvodina for just 28,000 euros, which now looks like an incredible investment.

Lazar describes himself as an active and fast player who loves to use dribbling, run, and assist teammates, but also to shoot at goal. His goal? To become the most complete attacker possible. And at just 18, this is only the beginning of his big football adventure.

The Bundesliga is a serious challenge, but Stuttgart is known for relying on young players, which gives hope that Lazar will soon shine on German pitches. If you thought this was the end, think again – this is just the beginning! So, what do you think? Will Lazar become the next Bundesliga star or get lost in the crowd? Drop a comment and let’s see who’s optimistic and who’s skeptical!
