Fake Repairmen in Belgrade: How They Scam You and Charge Only for the Visit

Belgrade has become the hotspot for a new scam that will make you question who to trust anymore! The consumer association Efektiva is sounding the alarm: fake repairmen are roaming the city, and their favorite trick is to charge you only for the visit — and it’s expensive! Imagine a woman called a repairman via the internet to fix her air conditioner. The repairman showed up in a work jumpsuit with a company logo and immediately demanded 12,000 dinars for ten minutes of work! And that’s not all — he also asked for a tip! While the number of real repairmen is dwindling, these scammers are multiplying like mushrooms after rain. Efektiva warns that several such cases happen every day. Will we soon be left without real repairmen because these fakes stole the jobs and money? If a repairman tells you the repair costs three times more than you expected, then demands you pay only for the visit, know you’re being scammed. Be careful, check companies, and don’t let these repairmen naively empty your wallet! And if you’ve already fallen for it, you’re not alone — this has become a daily occurrence in Belgrade. While you get angry, they laugh and fill their pockets. So, what do you say, is it time to finally put a stop to this? Or will we keep allowing ourselves to be scammed in the most brazen way? Share your experience, maybe your comment will help someone avoid getting ripped off! Remember, real repairmen are needed by all of us, but the fakes have become a real plague!
