Lazović Says NO to Parliament Blockade!
Radomir Lazović, co-leader of the Green-Left Front, has made it crystal clear: he rejects the opposition’s idea to leave the National Assembly and hand power over to the SNS on a silver platter. He called the idea “a very bad one” and stated he has no plans to withdraw from institutions.
What’s the problem with the blockade?
While some opposition parties support the blockade, Lazović believes it’s just a gift to the ruling party. He emphasized that he doesn’t want to experiment with such moves and that it’s crucial for the opposition to stay inside the Assembly and fight from within.
What about the students?
There’s also a student call for the opposition to leave the Assembly and resign, but Lazović dismissed that too. He thinks all opposition actors need to agree and act together—but without such “experiments.”
Why does this matter?
This debate comes at a time when Serbia’s political scene is extremely tense. The SNS holds firm power, and the opposition is searching for ways to bring change. Lazović clearly states that withdrawal is not the answer and would only strengthen the SNS.
The bottom line?
Lazović is the voice of reason amid the chaos of opposition plans. While some want to leave the Assembly, he says: “We won’t hand power to SNS on a silver platter!” The opposition must unite and find a smarter way to fight.
So, what do you think about the Assembly blockade? Is it a bold move or just throwing down the gauntlet to SNS? Drop a comment and let’s see who’s for it and who’s against!
