Host Lea Kiš Reveals Bombing Nightmare: Lost Baby and Fought for Life

Imagine being a TV host known for a smile that never leaves your face, while carrying a burden that would break even the strongest! Lea Kiš, a well-known journalist and host, opened up about the nightmare she lived through during the NATO bombings. She lost her baby and literally fought for her life. Yes, you read that right – while sirens wailed, Lea was expecting her second child but lost the baby due to an ectopic pregnancy and the chaos around her. And that’s not all! After a tough surgery, Lea barely survived, and the trauma and anxiety still haunt her nearly 25 years later.

In the show “Therapy” with Slavica Đukić Dejanović, Lea recalled how sixteen of her colleagues died during the bombings, and she was on the brink of death herself. Imagine – while the world around her was burning, she was waiting for a surgical appointment because of her ectopic pregnancy. Two days later, the bombing started. Lea survived, but the cost was huge – she lost her baby and underwent a difficult operation that saved her life.

Today, Lea has a daughter, Sara, and a husband, but the memories of those terrifying days don’t fade. Under the sirens, holding her child’s hand, Lea still feels fear and anxiety. “I don’t have much time left,” she says, even though so many years have passed. Her story is a warning to all of us – war is not just a number in history; it’s human tragedies that last a lifetime.

Did you know Lea Kiš’s mother is 82 years old and looks at least 20 years younger? That’s another incredible story in her life, but the one about loss and survival will make you stop and think.

If you think war is a distant thing, think again. Lea reminds us that the consequences of war are deep and personal. So, what do you think about these stories? Is it ever possible to forget such trauma? Drop a comment, share your thoughts, or just say – who else can keep smiling after all this?
