Lithuania Demands Urgent EU Sanctions on Russia After Massive Air Attack

Heard the latest European political drama? Lithuania, a small country with a big attitude, can’t stay silent anymore! After Russia launched a massive air attack on Ukraine, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budris raised his voice demanding the urgent adoption of the EU’s 18th sanctions package against Russia. “This is not just a war, it’s state terrorism!” Budris shouted, calling the attack “the largest air assault since the start of the Russian invasion.” Imagine, drones caused destruction Europe hasn’t seen in years!

But wait, there’s more! Lithuania wants the sanctions package to include a cap on oil prices and bans on products and equipment used to make drones and missiles. Any delay just gives Putin more time to commit war crimes.

EU member states are already considering this package, which targets the Nord Stream gas pipeline, Russian oil and refined products, and sanctions 22 new Russian banks and Russian fleet ships.

Will Europe finally stand up to Russian aggression or keep dragging its feet? Got thoughts? Drop a comment — maybe your take will start a wildfire!
