Madness on Belgrade Streets: Stolen Opel, Running Red Light, and Serious Injuries to Children!
Today, Belgrade turned into the scene of a real traffic nightmare! A 28-year-old man, K.P., stole an Opel Corsa in Borča around 1:15 PM and immediately went on a wild ride. Not only did he run a red light, but he also caused a chain collision involving three other vehicles at the corner of Takovska and 27th March streets.
Two adults, aged 52 and 47, and two children, aged 11 and 13, were seriously injured and rushed to the Emergency Center. The children suffered severe injuries, and the father of one of them sustained serious head trauma. After the accident, K.P. tried to flee but was quickly caught and arrested by the police.
This incident is not just another traffic accident — it’s pure chaos on Belgrade’s streets! K.P. is charged with unauthorized use of someone else’s vehicle and a criminal offense against public traffic safety. He has been detained for 48 hours and will soon be brought before the public prosecutor.
Situations like this make us ask: where is the safety on our roads? How can someone steal a car and recklessly drive through the streets, endangering innocent lives, including children? The police acted fast, but is that enough to prevent such madness?
