Hranislav Dimitrijević from Konarevo near Kraljevo caught a thief in his store and ended up in court after trying to defend himself. The incident occurred when his dogs woke him up, and the store alarm went off. In self-defense, he used a gun and wounded the thief. Afterward, neighbors blocked the road in support of Hranislav. The thief filed lawsuits for emotional distress and injuries, and Hranislav responded with a countersuit. The case reached the Supreme Court in Belgrade.
