Manchester United is in total chaos this summer! Five players, including star Marcus Rashford, have been given the cold shoulder by coach Rúben Amorim – they were told not to return for the start of pre-season! Yes, you read that right! Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia will not show up for the team gathering on Monday but will have to wait until later in July. The club believes this is the best solution while all these players explore transfer options this summer. However, the training center doors remain open for medical and rehabilitation services, and if they don’t find a new club, they will be welcomed back.
Rashford, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa after a clash with the coach, is expected to have a normal start to pre-season, but his number 10 jersey has already been taken by new signing Matheus Cunha, who cost around €70 million! Garnacho is particularly under fire – the coach told him to pray he finds a new club this summer after angering the coach with his behavior by staying on the bench in the Europa League final against Tottenham.
Napoli is monitoring the situation around the Argentine winger, while Chelsea, Tottenham, and another Premier League club are interested in him. Sancho was supposed to return to pre-season, but Chelsea paid around €5 million to avoid triggering his €25 million buyout clause. Juventus is interested in a loan but cannot cover half of his weekly wages. Antony successfully finished last season on loan at Real Betis, who want to keep him, but they will have to negotiate a new deal with United, as the Brazilian winger could go on loan again with an obligation to buy for around €35 million. Malacia is also expected to return to Manchester after PSV decided not to buy his contract for €8 million, and the coach does not see him in his plans.
This chaos at Manchester United raises serious questions about the club’s stability and the future of its stars. Is this the beginning of the end for some of the biggest talents? Or just another crazy season in England? Either way, football fans have plenty of reasons to follow this transfer madness. What do you think – who will fight for their place in the sun, and who will end up forgotten? Drop a comment and let’s see who’s the real prophet!
