Marin Jakoliš Leaves Australia to Sign with Armenian Champions Noah

Marin Jakoliš, the 28-year-old Croatian footballer, has decided to end his two-year stint in Australia and signed a two-year contract with Armenian champions Noah. After a brilliant season with Macarthur, where he was one of the key players and won his first major career trophy, Jakoliš chose to return to Europe and take on a new challenge in Armenia.

In the 2022/23 season, Jakoliš played an impressive 26 matches for Macarthur, scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists in the league, making him the team’s top scorer and assist provider. Overall, in all competitions, he scored 13 goals and made 15 assists, the highest direct involvement in goals in the Australian league. His goal in the Australian Cup final, which secured Macarthur’s first major trophy in history, was particularly memorable.

In his farewell statement, Jakoliš expressed how much the time spent in Australia meant to him, thanking his teammates, coaches, and fans for the support and unity he felt during his stay. Returning to Europe marks a new phase in his career, and signing for Noah shows his desire to re-establish himself on the old continent and compete in European cups.

Noah is a club that has been making significant progress recently, and Jakoliš will be welcomed by Croatian coach Sandro Perković and teammate Alen Grgić. The team is preparing for Champions League qualifiers, where they will face a two-legged tie against Montenegrin side Budućnost.

Marin Jakoliš is a former Croatian U21 international who started his career at Šibenik and later played in Belgium, Austria, Croatia, France, and Australia. His transfer to Noah is a new challenge and an opportunity to showcase his quality on the European stage.
