Welcome Marley! The HGSS Zadar station has welcomed a new four-legged team member – a four-month-old puppy who is already learning how to save lives. At the regular training of search teams held at Lokvar Lake, 20 K9 teams from all over Croatia participated, including the Zadar team with their licensed search dog and, for the first time, little Marley. Although still a puppy, Marley has shown curiosity and eagerness to learn, getting acquainted with the basics of work, including riding and staying in a boat, which is extremely important for water searches. HGSS Zadar proudly states that Marley is diligently learning and growing alongside experienced colleagues, aiming to become a licensed search dog one day. Despite a short summer break in joint training, the handlers continue working daily, training their dogs. Marley is just at the beginning of his journey, but a great and important future in saving lives lies ahead. This little hero in the making is already showing that he will be an indispensable part of rescue operations. If you thought dogs are just pets, think again – these four-legged rescuers are real heroes who risk their lives every day to save others. So, do you have your own little Marley in life? Or are you just a passive observer? Share your thoughts, maybe you have a story about a fearless four-legged friend!
