Mass Arrests of Human Traffickers in Serbia: 11 Caught in Major Operation

So, who’s crazy here? While the world fights migrants, human trafficking in Serbia is running wild like a market bazaar! The police finally cracked down and arrested 11 members of an organized crime group that brazenly smuggled illegal migrants across Serbia’s borders for months. From Belgrade, through Pirot, Subotica, Niš, to Šimanovci – this gang had a route like a city bus line!

The gang leader, D.T. from Belgrade, didn’t even bother hiding what he was doing. He coordinated illegal migrant crossings from the Bulgarian border, through Serbia, then to Croatia, Hungary, and onward to Germany. Between December and April alone, their network enabled at least 1,000 illegal crossings! Yes, you read that right – one thousand people!

But wait, there’s more. During raids, police seized three cars, tons of mobile phones, weapons, and over 40,000 euros in cash. Is this just a side hustle or a full-blown criminal enterprise? Looks like the group had international ties too, as three suspects are currently abroad with international warrants issued for them.

This operation shows the state is finally fighting human trafficking, but the problem is huge and deeply rooted. While migrants are treated like cargo and criminals rake in millions, ordinary citizens live in fear and uncertainty.

If you think this is just another news story that will blow over, think again. This is a war on crime affecting the whole country. So, what do you think – will justice finally win, or will the traffickers slip away again? Drop a comment, let’s see who’s on which side!
