Massive Shakeup in Montenegrin Police: Šćepanović Ousts Top Brass!

POLICE DRAMA IN MONTENEGRO: Šćepanović just pulled off a massive shakeup! Several chiefs in Danilovgrad, Kolašin, Žabljak, and Budva have been fired, replaced by new faces with diplomas from Belgrade and years of experience. Is this the dawn of a new era or just another political game?

Šćepanović, acting director of the Police Administration, didn’t hold back. Dragoljub Vujović, a graduate police officer from the Belgrade academy who previously led police stations in Podgorica and Budva, is now head of the security department in Danilovgrad. In Kolašin, Ivan Raičević replaced Zoran Braunović; Raičević is also a graduate officer with extensive leadership experience.

Momčilo Vojinović was removed from Žabljak, replaced by Tadija Ćetković, a national security expert with years in special police units. Petar Šestović retired from the Regional Border Police Center, replaced by Branislav Knežević, a legal specialist and veteran in fighting cross-border crime and corruption.

Budva is now led by Vesko Nedović, a longtime head of criminal police, while Predrag Lakušić, an international and national security specialist with military and special unit experience, took over as head of the department for protecting foreign dignitaries.

Šćepanović promises this purge will boost professional standards and restore public trust in the police. But is this really a step toward a better police force or just another public relations stunt?
