The City Theatre Podgorica and the Macedonian National Theatre Skopje have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at deepening cultural and artistic exchange between Montenegro and North Macedonia. The memorandum foresees the exchange of theatrical performances, joint co-productions, educational programs, as well as cooperation in technical and marketing support. The first joint co-production will be the play “The Boar Hunt”, a contemporary text by Montenegrin author Marija Šarap, directed by Macedonian director Nataša Poplavska. The premiere is scheduled for July as part of the Skopje Summer festival, while the Montenegrin premiere is planned for September in Podgorica. This initiative represents a significant step towards strengthening regional cultural cooperation and establishing stronger artistic ties among institutions in the region.
