Mercedes Driver Crashes into Blockade, Hits Woman on Pedestrian Crossing in Zrenjanin and Flees – Slovenian Arrested!
Zrenjanin, Serbia – Can someone drive like they’re in a Formula 1 race, crash into a peaceful blockade in Zrenjanin, hit a woman on a pedestrian crossing, and then just flee the scene like nothing happened? Apparently, yes! J.A., a 29-year-old Slovenian citizen, caused chaos last night around 10 PM on Žarka Zrenjanina street with his Mercedes.
While people were peacefully blocking the roundabout, he decided to break through the crowd, hit a 40-year-old woman on the pedestrian crossing, and not only did he fail to stop and help, but he also fled the scene!
Fortunately, the woman suffered only minor injuries, confirmed at the urgent care center of Zrenjanin hospital, but how lucky was she really? The police acted swiftly, in cooperation with the Kikinda police department and the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Zrenjanin, and arrested the reckless driver on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of endangering public safety.
This incident shines a harsh light on the problem of reckless driving and irresponsibility on our streets. How can someone think it’s okay to endanger another person’s life and then run away? Is this just the tip of the iceberg?
As justice slowly takes its course, the question remains – how many more drivers like this roam our streets? And how many more people will get hurt before something serious changes?
