Luxury on Wheels While Citizens Suffer!
The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, just got a brand new official car that will cost a whopping €65,000! Yes, you read that right – €65,000 for a Volvo SUV, bought on a 60-month lease. The first payment alone is €11,000, and the contract was signed with the company Osmanagić on June 20.
Audi Not Safe, Says the President, So He’s Getting a Volvo!
Let’s not forget, the purchase process started back in April, six months after the president’s office claimed their Audi was not safe to use. So what’s next? Will the citizens of Montenegro have to ride in old, unsafe cars while the president enjoys luxury?
Criticism Is Pouring In!
Malik Kovačević, a member of GI 21 May, sharply criticized this purchase. He points out that while Montenegrin citizens are struggling, Milatović is getting a new car thanks to “deals around the power in Podgorica.” Kovačević calls him a “typical proletarian martyr” who talks about the hard life of citizens but treats himself to a €65,000 luxury.
Is This How Taxpayer Money Should Be Spent?
While ordinary people fight daily battles, the president of the country has bought a car that costs as much as the average Montenegrin salary for several months. Is this the right time for such a purchase? Is the president’s safety more important than caring for the citizens?
Conclusion
Milatović may have gotten a new car, but he has lost the trust of many citizens. While the talk is about the hard life and problems of ordinary people, decisions like this only fuel dissatisfaction and doubt about the sincerity of the government.
What do you think? Did the president deserve such luxury, or is this just another example of arrogance in power? Drop a comment and let’s see how many of us don’t buy the fairy tales about the hard life while riding in new Volvos!
