Mild Earthquake Hits Zagreb

On Saturday evening, Zagreb was hit by a mild earthquake with a magnitude of 1.3 on the Richter scale, with the epicenter located 7 kilometers northwest of the city and an extremely shallow depth of 0 kilometers. The earthquake was clearly felt in some parts of the city, especially in the Dubrava district, where residents reported a short and noticeable ground shaking. Although the magnitude was small, the shallow depth made the earthquake noticeable. Media reported it as a minor earthquake with no cause for alarm.

Political Perspectives:

Left: Left-leaning media tend to emphasize the natural and minor nature of the earthquake, focusing on the safety of citizens and downplaying any panic. They may also critique sensationalist media coverage that exaggerates the event.

Center: Centrist media report the facts straightforwardly, providing details about the earthquake’s magnitude, location, and effects on the city. They focus on informing the public without sensationalism or political bias.

Right: Right-leaning media may highlight the earthquake as a minor event but could also use it to criticize media for overhyping small incidents or to discuss preparedness and infrastructure resilience in Zagreb.
