Ministry of Youth and Tourism: Only Two Projects Get 50 Million Dinars!
Did you know that Serbia’s Ministry of Youth and Tourism decided to fund only two out of ten submitted projects? Yes, you read that right! Out of ten ideas, only two got the green light with a total of 50 million dinars.
The first project, called “National Youth Capital,” received a whopping 30 million dinars, while the second, “Youth Spaces of Serbia,” was approved for 20 million. Both initiatives come from the Youth Association Alliance “Opens” from Novi Sad.
Why only two? Where are the rest? Is this the right way to support youth?
What’s Behind These Projects?
“National Youth Capital” sounds like a great idea, but what does it actually mean? Will it be a place where young people can gather, create, and grow? And “Youth Spaces of Serbia”? Will these spaces be open to everyone or just a select few?
Financial Support or Selection by Unknown Criteria?
50 million dinars is serious money, but only for two projects. Is this the right way to invest in the future of youth? Or is it just a drop in the ocean of needs?
What Do the Youth Say?
Many young people are disappointed because their projects were rejected. The question is whether the selection process was transparent and fair.
Conclusion
The Ministry took a first step, but the question remains — is it enough? Will these projects really change anything in the lives of young people in Serbia, or will they remain just a nice story?
If you have thoughts on this, or maybe know a project that deserves attention, feel free to share in the comments. Maybe your idea deserves to be next on the list!
Don’t stay silent — youth is the future, and the future can’t wait!
