Is it possible that a minister in Montenegro, Majda Adžović, is openly working against the will of the majority Albanian population in the municipalities of Ulcinj and Tuzi? Albanian Forum MP Artan Čobi claims exactly that! From the very start of her mandate, Adžović has shown a consistent anti-Albanian policy, ignoring the needs of citizens and annulling lawful procedures. In Tuzi, without any legal justification, the procedure for selecting a contractor for the construction of a sports center worth 10 million euros was canceled! Is this a direct attack on the development of Tuzi municipality and a brazen humiliation of local self-government? Čobi says yes, and that Adžović continues the practice of the former DPS-SD regime, which for years deceived the citizens of Tuzi with empty promises. Clearly, political revenge and party interests are placed above the interests of the citizens. Such behavior not only obstructs development but may also constitute criminal liability. The Albanian Forum did not support her appointment, and now it turns out the suspicions were justified. Čobi calls on Adžović to immediately stop political obstruction and allow the continuation of the lawful procedure for selecting the contractor. Any further delay is proof of her political bias and open action against the interests of the citizens of Tuzi. If this does not happen, she will bear full political and legal responsibility for obstructing the development of the local community and grossly violating the will of its citizens. This is not just a local problem but an alarming signal about the state of democracy and minority rights in Montenegro. Will someone finally stop such abuses? Or will we continue to watch as citizens’ interests are sacrificed on the altar of political games? If you have an opinion, feel free to share it — maybe your comment will spark change!
