Serbia’s government increased education funds by 20%.

The Government of Serbia has allocated 12.01 billion dinars for higher education and student standards, which represents a 20% increase in the budget and fulfills the demands of student assemblies. The total allocation for the year 2025 will amount to 72.06 billion dinars, enabling a 50% reduction in tuition fees for students. Finance Minister Siniša Mali emphasized the need for dialogue regarding the distribution of funds and the responsibility of the academic community towards students.
