Ministry of Culture Supported Cultural Project in Varvarin Municipality

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia has allocated four million dinars to the municipality of Varvarin for the technical equipment of the large hall of the municipal library. The funds will be used to purchase stage LED lighting and technical fireproof curtains, fully equipping the hall for theatrical performances, concerts, and film screenings. The project is part of the ‘Cities in Focus’ program, launched in 2017 as an initiative of the then Prime Minister, now President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. The program aims to modernize cultural infrastructure in smaller communities and ensure balanced cultural development across Serbia. The President of the Varvarin municipality, Dr. Violeta Lutovac Đurđević, emphasized the importance of the Ministry of Culture’s support and noted that the municipality has already implemented several projects thanks to this program.
