Young Croatian Volleyball Stars Shine at World Championship!

Three matches, three wins, and the top spot in Group A! The young Croatian women’s volleyball team under 19 is dominating the World Championship. After beating Germany 3-2 and Mexico 3-1, today in Osijek they won a tense match against Canada 3-1.

After losing the first set, they fought through three sets full of drama and close scores, each decided by just two points. The fourth set was the longest and most intense – the Croatian team saved eight set points and won the set 36-34!

The most efficient player was 16-year-old Asja Zolota with 23 points, while Maša Mlinar contributed 14. For Canada, Maya Bukovčan scored 16 and Sofia Zabjek 13 points.

Croatia currently leads with 8 points, one more than second-placed Germany. The next opponent is Egypt, who lost their first two group matches. The top four teams from each group will advance to the round of 16.

This generation of young volleyball players shows that Croatia has a bright future in the sport. Tension, fight, and talent on the court are guaranteed. What do you think?
