Beware of unregistered taxis in Belgrade, they overcharge!

In Belgrade, there are frequent cases of dubious taxi drivers charging tourists and visitors much more than usual. A young man from Montenegro complained on Reddit that he paid 3,500 dinars for a ride from New Belgrade to Vračar, which is three times more than the actual price. Similar situations happen to other visitors, including a foreigner who paid 9,000 dinars for a ride from the airport to the city center. The problem lies in the use of unregistered and unchecked taxis.
