Scandal of the Year: State Award Given to Fascist Chauvinist in Montenegro!

Welcome to Montenegro 2024, where the state and its values are being trampled right before our eyes! Imagine this – the highest state award given to a man who openly denies Montenegrin statehood and promotes a retrograde, neo-Chetnik ideology! Yes, you read that right. Andrija Mandić, the man at the helm of the parliament shaping state policy, is hailed as a hero while the very idea of independence, antifascist heritage, and civic dignity of Montenegro is being humiliated.

The European Alliance doesn’t hold back – this is a direct blow to the core of the state. Those who enabled this shameful act remain silent and hidden, while citizens peacefully protest and get pepper-sprayed in return! Is this the country we fought for? Civic Montenegro is under attack but will not bow down.

But wait, there’s more! In Danilovgrad, political masks are falling off. Drago Šćepanović from SDP and the European Alliance publicly condemned the awarding of the July 13th prize to Bećir Vuković, a man who holds fascist and chauvinistic views against a large part of Montenegro’s citizens. Freedom of speech is no excuse for spreading hate and intolerance. Fascism in the 21st century doesn’t come in uniform; it spreads with a smile and a tie, and we must be loud and clear in rejecting such ideas.

This government has decided to turn Montenegro into a historical footnote, and us? We still stand and raise our voices for a state worthy of its citizens – European, antifascist, and free. Think this is normal? Think again. And if you have a good political joke or think this is all just a bad dream, feel free to share – maybe we all need a laugh while watching the country fall apart before our eyes.
