Jump from Mostar’s Old Bridge: Swiss Adventurer Sparks Chaos and Gets Beaten!

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, along comes Swiss adventurer Luca Bont, jumping off Mostar’s Old Bridge without a permit! Yes, you read that right. This adrenaline junkie, who clearly loves living on the edge, decided to ignore local warnings and leap from 24 meters high, fully clothed in a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers, as if he was at some wild party, not performing a dangerous jump. Naturally, it didn’t end well – a group of furious Mostar locals greeted him with a beating. And no, it wasn’t the professional jumpers who attacked him, but local swimmers who were under the bridge, including kids under five years old! Yes, he could have killed a child!

The president of the jumpers’ club, Lorens Listo, revealed that Luca refused to undergo the mandatory training required for jumping off the bridge, and before the jump, he was seen drinking alcohol in a Mostar café. Is that a recipe for safety? Absolutely not!

Famous influencer and Herzegovinian Hana Hadžiavdić couldn’t stay silent. On her Instagram, she wrote that she is ashamed that such images are sent to the world and apologized on behalf of Mostar residents for the behavior of these “primitives.” Luca, on the other hand, can’t understand why he was attacked and now boasts that he has become famous in Bosnia and Herzegovina because of this incident.

This isn’t the first time such incidents have happened. Previously, a Chinese man jumped off the bridge and likely suffered severe injuries; his body was never found. Certified and trained jumpers are rare, and every unauthorized jump can lead to tragedy.

Police and local authorities should increase control and impose heavy fines because this behavior is not only dangerous but irresponsible towards the local community and tourists. Mostar residents have clearly shown they will not tolerate such adventurers who endanger everyone’s safety.

If you think this is just another crazy Balkan story, think again. This is a warning to everyone who thinks they can do whatever they want without consequences. And you, dear readers, what do you think about this jump? Did Luca deserve the beating or was it too much? Drop a comment, maybe you’ll make us laugh or get us even more fired up!
