Jelena Đ. (62) was found strangled in her bed at her home in Voždovac, and her son David J. (23) is suspected of the crime. An investigation was conducted by order of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, which revealed signs of violence on the victim’s body. David J. voluntarily went to the police and confessed to the murder, but was unable to present a defense due to his mental state. The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation on suspicion of aggravated murder, and the prosecution has submitted a proposal.
