When you think riding a motorcycle is all about fun and freedom, remember the tragedy that struck last night around 2 AM on the main road in Bečići. A motorcyclist from Budva, N.R. (57), lost his life in a collision involving two cars. Emergency services arrived quickly, but there was no saving him. Traffic was halted during the investigation, casting a dark shadow over road safety in the region.
This is not an isolated incident. Unfortunately, motorcyclists account for a shocking 12% of all fatal traffic accidents. Is it careless car drivers, or reckless motorcyclists? Or maybe poor infrastructure and weak traffic enforcement?
In neighboring Republika Srpska, on the Prijedor-Banja Luka main road, a serious accident happened today involving two passenger vehicles. Two people were injured and taken to hospital for detailed diagnostics. Traffic was completely stopped, and the circumstances are still being investigated.
These tragedies make us ask: how unsafe are our roads? How many more lives must be lost before serious changes happen?
