MUP Appeal on Prevention of Open Space Fires

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia has issued an appeal to citizens due to the increased risk of fires in open areas caused by very hot and dry weather. Citizens are urged to behave responsibly and comply with legal regulations, as irresponsible fire lighting and burning of plant residues can cause significant material damage and endanger people’s health. The Ministry will increase supervision and prosecute irresponsible citizens. In case of noticing a fire, citizens are urged to immediately call the fire rescue unit at number 193.
