While some people decided to block traffic and create chaos across Serbia, the police were wide awake! In one night, the Ministry of Internal Affairs checked the identities of 99 people at various blockades around the country. Yes, you read that right — 99! Two were taken to official premises, and one person faces criminal charges for unauthorized possession of drugs. A total of 24 misdemeanor charges were filed. All blockades have been removed, and roads are now clear. The Ministry urges citizens to refrain from illegal activities and not to endanger the safety of others.
But wait, there’s more! In Lučani, a father and son were arrested for growing marijuana. Police found a large cannabis plantation and a smaller amount of drugs in their home. Both were detained for 48 hours and will be brought before the public prosecutor.
It seems Serbia is currently a real battleground against blockades and drugs. While authorities try to maintain order, some individuals keep playing with fire. Is this the beginning of the end of chaos or just the prelude to bigger problems? Only time will tell.
What do you think about all this? Are the Ministry’s measures enough, or should they get even tougher? Drop a comment, let’s see who’s for and who’s against!
