Get ready for a show that will take you back to your childhood and open your eyes to the power of art! “Slovo, Slovo” is not just a play — it’s a musical return to the golden age of television and poetry by Duško Radović, who created a masterpiece 54 years ago that still touches hearts today. Ljubiša Jovanović, the artistic coordinator and one of the main drivers of this project, proudly announces the premiere on September 27 at the MTS Hall. But this is no ordinary play — it features actors, children from the Children’s Philharmonic, and music by Miodrag Ilić Beli, originally composed for the 1970s series.
Why does this matter? Because Duško Radović’s art is timeless and still relevant today! The texts he wrote half a century ago still speak to our daily lives, and the children on stage show just how talented and inspiring they can be. Actor Ivan Jevtović, who has worked with children for decades in various projects, highlights how working with kids is both a challenge and a joy. Actress Tamara Radovanović adds that children instinctively feel their talents and that working with them is honest and natural.
The play’s repertoire includes 12 songs by Duško Radović, including “Slovo, Slovo,” “Aćima’s Lullaby,” “Petronije,” “Everything Went Wrong,” and more. Tickets went on sale June 25, so if you want to be part of this artistic event, hurry up!
This play is not just a nostalgic reminder but a call to bring art and culture back into our children’s lives the right way. So if you have the chance, bring the little ones and enjoy the magic that only true art can provide. And if you’ve already seen it, share your thoughts — did “Slovo, Slovo” remind you of your childhood or surprise you with how relevant it still is? Let the conversation begin!
