The villa at the Special Psychiatric Hospital in Gornja Toponica near Niš, built for Prince Đorđe Karađorđević, continues to draw interest. Prince Đorđe, son of King Peter I, abdicated after a series of incidents and was admitted to this institution due to a diagnosis of mental illness. He stayed there for 15 years, and after being released from the hospital, he lived normally, which calls the diagnosis into question. The villa has been renovated and holds significance as a part of history, with plans for its use in therapeutic processes.
