All while under supervision and with ten restrictions on his activities!
His events are lavish productions – he rented a tank, set fire to fake police cars, and just renting Disneyland cost tens of thousands of euros. How does he finance all this? That remains a mystery.
The BBC uncovered that Jackie Jay has a YouTube channel with 12 million subscribers and videos with over 6 million views, where he appears with children, sometimes with weapons, which further alarms the public. Google was warned but did not explain how such content remained on the platform for years.
French authorities have charged him in connection with organizing events related to a fake wedding at Disneyland, where a Ukrainian girl was flown in to play his bride, but according to statements, there was no physical sexual abuse. Still, the whole situation shocked the world and raised questions about the supervision of convicted pedophiles and child safety.
Police and supervisory services are overwhelmed – one officer must monitor 40 to 85 sexual offenders, far from the recommended ratio of 1:50. Experts warn that successfully managing such a number of offenders is nearly impossible, leaving room for such horrific scams.
