Protests Rage On Across Serbia: Police Arrest Citizens, Streets in Chaos!

Chaos in Serbia: Police Arrest Citizens, Streets Blocked in Nationwide Protests!

Serbia is on fire again! After the massive Vidovdan protests and the arrest of students, citizens across the country have taken to the streets in full force. Streets and intersections are blocked, and the police are cracking down hard with arrests.

From Belgrade to Novi Sad, Užice, Čačak, Kragujevac, Zrenjanin, Smederevo, Subotica, Ruma, Pančevo, Valjevo, and Gornji Milanovac, people are standing up and shouting their anger. Some even spent the night on the streets, while police started arrests early in the morning, especially near the Faculty of Law in Belgrade and on Vojvode Stepe street.

The blockades were so intense that trams in Belgrade were halted, and traffic was completely paralyzed. The Gendarmerie intervened at Zeleni Venac around 3:30 AM, but that didn’t stop the protests. Citizens announced they will continue the blockades, with a new one starting in Novi Sad at 6 PM the same day.

Students have also called on opposition political actors to boycott the parliament’s work, adding fuel to the political fire. This is not just a student issue – it’s a full-blown civil uprising against arrests and repression.

The police tried to disperse the blockades during the morning, but the citizens are stubborn. Traffic is gradually normalizing, but only in some places. Streets remain partially blocked, and public transport in some parts of the city is still not functioning properly.

This is not just a protest – it’s a call for civil disobedience and a direct clash with state authorities. Will the government break the will of the people, or will Serbia become a country of constant blockades and conflicts?

If you think this is the end, think again. Citizens have announced new blockades and are ready to stand their ground. What about you? Are you for peace or chaos? Drop your thoughts, maybe your idea will be the next protest hit!

Why does this matter?

  • Multiple cities in Serbia are blocked due to protests.
  • Police are arresting citizens, including students.
  • Blockades continue day and night, traffic is in chaos.
  • Students call for a boycott of parliamentary work.
  • Protests signal deep dissatisfaction and conflict with authorities.

This is not just news, it’s a drama unfolding before our eyes. Stay tuned, Serbia is not calming down!

Don’t forget: If you thought protests were a thing of the past, think again. This country is burning with discontent, and the streets are just the beginning. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?
