Nearly 1000 City Cleaners Heroically Tackle Storm Aftermath in Belgrade

When the storm hits, Belgrade doesn’t stay dirty! Nearly 1000 city cleaners threw themselves into the chaos left by a supercell storm. Three shifts, massive machinery, and nonstop work — that’s the formula for getting the city back on its feet. Marije Ognjenović from the city cleaning company reveals that everyone hit the streets as soon as the storm passed, but the job was tough. The rain the next day only slowed things down, but they didn’t give up. Cleaning ten municipalities, with special focus on Čukarica and New Belgrade, was the priority. Citizens are encouraged to report problems via the info center and Instagram, as city cleaning works 24/7, ready to respond to any criticism or complaint. No special campaigns are running because the workload is already huge — regular street washing, emptying containers, and removing storm aftermath. All this while Belgrade battles the consequences of the state of emergency. If you thought city cleaning was just a regular service, think again — these people are real heroes who won’t let our city drown in trash and mud. What about you? Have you reported a problem yet or are you waiting for someone else to do it? Drop your thoughts, maybe your comment will speed things up!
